Convert HEIC to JPG Offline
Turn iPhone HEIC photos into universal JPG files without sending them anywhere. Conversion runs locally in your browser, so personal photos stay on your device.
Converted JPGs will appear here.
How to convert iPhone photos to JPG
- Add your HEIC photos — drop them onto the box above or click to browse; a whole batch works in one go.
- Set JPEG quality — 90% is a good default; lower it for smaller files, raise it for maximum fidelity.
- Let it convert — each photo is decoded and re-encoded as JPG right in your browser.
- Download — save photos one by one, or click "Download all" for the whole batch.
When this comes in handy
Sending iPhone photos to Windows users. Windows can't open HEIC without extra codecs, and many apps don't support it either. Convert to JPG first and the photos open everywhere — no software needed on the other side.
Uploading to sites that reject HEIC. Job applications, marketplaces, government portals and older CMSs often accept JPG only. Instead of retaking photos in a different format, convert the ones you already have.
Archiving or sharing a whole album. Batch conversion means you can process an event's worth of photos at once, then hand them off as universally readable JPGs.
Notes and limits
- Accepts .heic / .heif files from iPhone and iPad (iOS 11 and later), single files or batches.
- Converted JPGs are re-encoded, so camera metadata (EXIF) is not carried over — location and device info are stripped automatically.
- Batch size is limited only by your device's memory; even large photo batches work fine on modern hardware.
What you can do next
How it works
- Open this page and drop in your .heic photos — straight from a USB import or AirDrop.
- Adjust the JPG quality if you need smaller files.
- Download converted JPGs one by one, or process the whole batch together.
- Everything happens on your device; the originals are never uploaded.
When this helps
- Sharing iPhone photos with Android or Windows users who can't open HEIC.
- Uploading photos to forms and websites that reject .heic files.
- Converting family or ID photos that you don't want on a third-party server.
- Preparing HEIC exports for chat apps, email or workplace tools.
Limits and notes
- Conversion speed depends on your device; each 12 MP photo takes a few seconds.
- Output is JPG — keep the originals if you need HEIC's smaller storage or depth data.
- Some Android phones produce HEIF variants; if one fails, re-export it as standard HEIC.
Why convert locally
Most HEIC converters ask you to upload your photos first. This page decodes HEIC with a decoder compiled to WebAssembly and re-encodes to JPG in the browser. Your photos never touch a server — which matters when they contain faces, locations or documents.
FAQ
Why won't my iPhone photos open on Windows?
Because iPhones save photos as HEIC since iOS 11 — a format Windows and many apps can't read without extra codecs. Converting HEIC to JPG with this tool fixes it, and the photos then open anywhere.
Can I convert a whole batch of iPhone photos at once?
Yes. Drop or select multiple HEIC files together, then download each JPG individually or all of them in one click. Everything is processed locally, so batch conversion is fast and private.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The HEIC decoder runs via JavaScript entirely in your browser. Personal photos stay on your device — that's the whole point.
How do I convert an iPhone photo to JPG online?
Choose one or more HEIC photos, adjust JPG quality if needed, then download each result or all files together. Conversion happens in your browser.
Does conversion lose quality?
JPG is lossy, but at the default 90% quality the difference is invisible for normal photos. Drag the slider to 100% for maximum fidelity (larger files).
